Skills for Decision Makers: Applied Econometrics
4 Day Course
A four day course which looks at how, as data availability grows, decision-makers find themselves able to ask a wider range of questions, which needs knowledge of specialist techniques; for example:
Can we exploit the fact that we have repeated information on the same people? What affects preferences for different product options? How does closeness to the shopping outlet affect sales? Are prices or preferences in one area affected by neighbouring areas? How do we deal with data collected as "unsatisfied-indifferent-satisfied"?
This course will introduce you to a number of the most useful techniques, showing how they can be applied and their limitations.
