In addition to "core" services, the team have considerable experience of advising employers and trustees in regard to compromise agreements when winding up defined benefit/final salary schemes.

Smith & Williamson can also demonstrate expertise in advising individual members of defined benefit/final salary schemes in relation to "enhanced" transfer value negotiations. This is a particularly sensitive area in which to practice but one in which they feel comfortable.
