Smith & Williamson's corporate finance team work alongside their clients as part of an extended team. Working time and again for the same clients, helping to build their business and its value. The team also works on single transactions, typically the sale of a business.

Smith & Williamson's expertise is there to support you through the various stages of your businesses growth, starting with the early stages of business growth where the focus will be on activities such as raising funds through a variety of sources, including venture capitalists, private equity firms and banks, as well as making acquisitions and disposals

As the business matures they can assist in listing on the AIM of The London Stock Exchange or the FCA’s Main List, if this is the direction you want to take your business. They can also undertake complex management buyouts and buy-ins, working to overcome very specific challenges such as analysing the opportunity, negotiating the deal, taking over the business and then finally work with a new Board comprising investors with high expectations.

Drawing on knowledge, skills and research information from other parts of Smith & Williamson the team is able to provide a robust and rich service, delivered in an open, approachable, pragmatic and ‘joined-up' way. They work closely with your other professional advisers (including financial and legal advisers) and build long term relationships that provide extra benefit to our clients. In this way Smith & Williamson deepen knowledge and provide a more seamless and efficient service on transactions - where experience and close teamwork count for a great deal.
