Creative Employment Programme

Free funding towards employing a young person.

Cost: Free

The Creative Employment Programme provides help with identifying your business needs and support with recruitment. The project has a simple mechanism to claim funding and allows you to share best practice, change your employment practices and grow your business.

The West of England Consortia managed by the Creative Skills Hub is one of the largest consortia of employers accessing the Creative Employment Programme in the UK.

The funding is creating new paid opportunities for young people looking to start their career in the creative & cultural sector.  Funding is available for West of England based Arts, Creative, Cultural and Heritage organisations to create over 120 entry level paid intern-ships and apprenticeships across the West of England over the next year.

The jobs being created are for young-unemployed people aged 16 -24 years old - helping them access their first job in the creative and cultural sector.

All employers must work under the Arts Council ‘footprint’ which includes; Music, Dance, Theatre, Arts venues, Technical Theatre, Literature, Visual arts, Contemporary craft, Combined arts, Galleries, Circus, Carnival arts, Museums and Libraries.
