Creative Freelancer Grants - closed for applications

The West of England Combined Authority has announced new business support initiatives for the cultural and creative industries, as part of its Regional Recovery Plan.

Creative Freelancer Grants will give freelancers the funds and guidance needed to adapt business plans and explore new opportunities in response to the challenges presented by Covid-19.

The application window for these funds has now closed. 

We will let applicants know whether they have been successful as soon as possible and before the end of June at the latest.

What does this grant fund?

The grant fund will give creative freelancers the opportunity to become more resilient by delivering a project over a time period of up to 6 months that will develop their own creative product, practice or service, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Grants will range from £1,000 - £3,000.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible to apply for this grant if:

You are set up as either:  A registered sole trader with a Unique Tax Reference (UTR)  or a director of a limited company where you are the only officer or employee.

Your company registered address, or your home address (if a sole trader) is in one of the following local authority areas:

• Bristol City Council • South Gloucestershire Council • Bath and North East Somerset Council
