Creative Freelancer Grants

The West of England Combined Authority has announced new business support initiatives for the cultural and creative industries, as part of its Regional Recovery Plan.

Creative Freelancer Grants will give freelancers the funds and guidance needed to adapt business plans and explore new opportunities in response to the challenges presented by Covid-19.

What does this grant fund?

The grant fund will give creative freelancers the opportunity to become more resilient by delivering a project over a time period of up to 6 months that will develop their own creative product, practice or service, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Grants will range from £1,000 - £3,000.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible to apply for this grant if:

You are set up as either:  A registered sole trader with a Unique Tax Reference (UTR)  or a director of a limited company where you are the only officer or employee.

Your company registered address, or your home address (if a sole trader) is in one of the following local authority areas:

• Bristol City Council • South Gloucestershire Council • Bath and North East Somerset Council

The application window opens 19 April 2021. It will be live for 3 weeks and closes 7 May at 23:59.

Please be assured it is not first come, first served. All applications will be assessed individually after the closing date of 7 May 2021. We'd therefore encourage you to take your time with your application, just ensuring you get it to us by that deadline.
